Using S4 mixing, S4R recording, and S4X reference headphones
"I own all three Ollo headphone models, as well as many other brands' because headphones are a key tool in my workflow; Ollo is routinely used both on location and even more in-studio, as they are very comfortable and always prove to be stunningly clear and truthful transducers even when compared to my HD-800 reference headphone. Last model S4X definitely set a new mark in listening comfort as well as in detail and balance of the whole musical program, making it one of my headphones of choice for critical listening during mastering, as well as the default headphone for “casual” listening after my Grace D/A converters. I just regret I still can't use S4X for accurate and panic-free cleaning sessions due to the noisy headband, that seems to be too sensitive to touches, head movements and sudden elastic band adjustments when gravity commands. All of these pitfalls could be easily avoided, and so would the problem, by taking care of proper head movements; however, when I’m into the cleaning process I’m not able to shift my attention from music and environment artifacts and try to avoid inducing noises with my own unconscious movements. I think Ollo needs to design a small mechanical patch for avoiding the headband resonation and noise propagation."
