OLLO Customers from L.A. - Watch this and let us help
A Special Relationship with Fire
I have a very special relationship with fire. Watching the recent videos of LA devastation brought up emotions in me because we’ve had a fire of our own. It’s been four years now. It was the day before Valentine’s in 2021 when I woke up to a phone call at 3:00 a.m. from the landlord, who said, “Your company is on fire.” That was a very unique experience.
The Shock of the Fire
When I drove to the building, I was worried, imagining how it might look. Luckily, the building we’re in wasn’t fully engulfed in flames. I felt some relief when I saw fire trucks and sirens, but it was still surreal. The fire department wouldn’t let me get close, so I couldn’t see what was going on.
It’s hard to describe the emotions that go through your head in such a moment. But seeing the videos from LA, with people losing their homes, brought those memories back.
Gratitude and Support: The Power of Community
When that happened to us, our community stepped in and helped us in every imaginable way, and I am deeply grateful for that. In times like this, we need to come together and support each other, even across the globe.
The LA situation touches me even deeper, because we have so many talented artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers in LA who are our clients. Many of you have trusted our headphones for years. I’ve heard from some of you who’ve lost your studios and homes and are struggling to get back on your feet. I know how it feels to lose everything in a fire.
How We Can Help:
While we are a small company and can’t give away hundreds of headphones, what I can do is this:
- If you’ve been using our headphones and have lost your ability to work due to a fire, please send me an email at support@olloaudio.com or directly to me at rok@olloaudio.com.
- Tell me your story and include pictures of your studio and work before and after the fire, as proof.
- If you’re a customer, we’ll send you a new pair of headphones.
- If you’re not currently a customer, we’ll prepare a non-profit order where you’ll only cover the cost of production.
I hope this contribution brings some stability and hope back into your life.
The Strength of Community: We’re In This Together
I truly believe our community is strong, as we’ve seen in the past, whether after terrorist attacks or natural disasters. If you need work, gear, or rentals, connect with each other through our endorsement page: link

The Power of Asking for Help
Asking for help can be difficult. It’s not always easy to accept charity, especially when you’ve worked so hard for everything you’ve achieved. I understand that feeling completely. But even the toughest among us sometimes need help. It’s not a weakness - it’s a part of being human.
Fire is devastating, both for the soul and the wallet. The recovery process is costly and time-consuming, and the emotional burden can be overwhelming. If any of you are carrying that weight and need someone to talk to - someone who’s been through a similar experience - please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to listen and offer whatever support or guidance I can.
Stay Safe, Everyone.
