As a producer, engineer, and mixer, John Escobar is well known for his versatility, which he attributes to his culturally and geographically diverse upbringing.

His work spans multiple genres and includes collaborations with GRAMMY-winning folk artist Sarah Jarosz, The Rolling Stones, Highly Suspect, Larry Coryell, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Jimmy Buffet, and Joshua Bell. In film and media, he's contributed to projects for Walt Disney Pictures, Sony Pictures, Amazon Prime, Focus Features, NASA, and composers like Terrence Blanchard, Alan Silvestri, Thomas Newman, Carter Burwell, and Mychael Danna.

His projects have been featured in the Billboard Top 10 (US), Chinese Global Top 10, and have received or been nominated for Oscar, Golden Globe, Critics Choice, BAFTA, Goya, Platino, and Telly Awards.

John is also passionate about education. He currently teaches in the Music Production and Engineering Department at Berklee College of Music in Boston and has lectured at Boston University, USC, Northeastern University, and Harvard. He also serves as the associate director of audio production for NPR’s From The Top national radio broadcast program.
