Daunt began his career playing guitar as a member of the band Fiction Plane, during which time he recorded four albums and toured with artists including Snoop Dogg, The Police and Paul Weller, and played multiple headline tours across Europe and the US. During his time with Fiction Plane he was also an in demand guitarist in London playing on records for Nelly Furtado, Amy Macdonald, James Morrison, Natalie Imbruglia, One Direction, Kylie and countless others.
From writing with the band, Daunt began co-writing for other people, and collaborated with various artists including Sub Focus and Five Seconds Of Summer, whose album went to No.1 in Australia, the UK and US with sales of 259,000 copies in the first week of release. Daunt has gone on to have cuts with artists across a variety of genres including Kylie Minogue, Wilkinson, Barns Courtney, Steve Angello, and Everyone You Know. Recently, Daunt has also produced many of the artists he writes with including Black Honey’s debut album, Tomi and Gabrielle Aplin. He has also composed music for TV programs such as American Ninja Warrior and Dynasty, as well as Ubisoft games, and adverts for Beats by Dre.
