La calibrazione è il “miglio finale” nel fornire una risposta in frequenza perfettamente lineare. Tutte le nostre cuffie sono accuratamente tarate, già tolte dalla confezione e misurate durante il controllo qualità. Misurando ogni singola unità, possiamo catturare qualsiasi deviazione nella qualità del suono, derivante dalla tolleranza dei materiali, per una specifica unità. La calibrazione corregge tutto ciò, oltre alla risposta in frequenza ottenuta unicamente dal disegno acustico.
La calibrazione specifica dell’unità permette di ottenere una tolleranza incredibilmente bassa, di approssimativamente ~1dB verso l’obiettivo della risposta in frequenza desiderata. Per esempio, software generici di calibrazione, come Sonarworks Sound ID o Waves NX, possono ottenere solo circa ~3dB.
La Calibrazione Specifica dell’Unità II (USC II), include un plugin software (realizzato da Realphones) e un file di dati di calibrazione, generato con l’uso della potenza del processing AI. Il plugin è fornito nei formati AU, VST e AAX, per utenti Mac e Win, ed è anche disponibile in una versione separata. Il file dei dati di calibrazione è in formato XPS, che permette l'esportazione manuale degli esatti valori EQ verso qualsiasi plugin EQ di terze parti o hardware DSP; per esempio, RME TotalMix, Neumann Mission Control, UA console ed altri.

Vuoi sapere chi fa parte della community?
I software di calibrazione generici raggiungono una tolleranza intorno ai 3dB dal loro obiettivo, spesso basandosi sulla curva Harman o qualcosa di simile. Contrariamente, le cuffie OLLO sono acusticamente lineari, con una tolleranza più snella di circa 2dB verso le cuffie da studio standard, senza alcun software di calibrazione.
Ciò significa che, corrispondono alla nostra curva obiettivo senza calibrazione, rispetto a quando usiamo plugin generici per “correggerle”.
La calibrazione generica si ottiene prendendo la risposta media di alcune unità, per qualsiasi altra unità, come sorgente di dati. Immaginate di misurare alcune regie generiche, ed applicare quelle EQ alla tua regia?! Non lo faresti mai, giusto? Certo che no.
Per questo motivo sono limitate a circa ~3dB di tolleranza, non raggiungendo mai il livello di precisione che ottieni dalla calibrazione USC.
Come otteniamo tutto ciò?
L’USC rimuove le variazioni causate dalla fabbricazione ed esalta la risposta in frequenza oltre quanto è solitamente possibile (solo con le acustiche), per ogni unità individuale.
Questo si ottiene perché controlliamo meticolosamente ogni unità durante il controllo qualità, permettendoci di customizzare la calibrazione in maniera precisa, per quella unità.
Le soluzioni di software per la calibrazione generica spesso pubblicizzano “servizi individuali di calibrazione”, che comporta l’invio delle tue cuffie, pagandone il costo. Per esempio, Sonarworks chiede €149 per tale servizio, più i costi di spedizione, con un'aggiunta di €99 per la licenza Sound ID, per un totale di quasi €300.
Con OLLO USC, riceverai la calibrazione individuale e la licenza USC, inclusa con l’acquisto delle nostre cuffie, oppure con €49 una tantum per l’upgrade di modelli meno recenti.
Per gli smanettoni che analizzano ogni parola:
Una tolleranza di ~0.5 è generalmente accettabile, all’interno dei nostri rapporti ufficiali e documentazioni. Questo non include le risonanze HRTF - KB500 di GRAS, dato che evitiamo di correggere con una fattore Q superiore a 1,2. Tale limitazione è dovuta dalle capacità attuali dei simulatori d’orecchio sul mercato, che potrebbero portare verso una qualità sonora cattiva, se c’è uno squilibrio tra i simulatori e l’HRTF dell’utente finale. Noi usiamo una varietà di sistemi, simulatori d’orecchio, sorgenti ed obiettivi e specifichiamo chiaramente gli attrezzi e metodi usati, contro qualsiasi affermazione, tabella o fogli di dati che presentiamo. Per esempio, spieghiamo i passaggi di livellamento, segnali di sorgente e compensazioni applicate. Quando citiamo le affermazioni dei competitors, ci riferiamo ai loro materiali ufficiali pubblicati, o dati ottenuti in laboratorio, utilizzando metodi scientifici ed attrezzi ben definiti. Menzioniamo i loro brand o nomi dei prodotti, unicamente per motivi di comparazione (utilizzo equo). Vale la pena notare che producono prodotti eccellenti.
Se usi la versione 2.0 o successive, puoi importare il file di calibrazione direttamente. Altrimenti, dovrai inserire i valori di calibrazione manualmente, nella sezione di EQ del plugin.

Great headphone that help me a lot during mastering

Game changer, this headphone will make your mixes translate so much better in every system. I check all my mixes and masters through them before sending to the client. Really accurate, no ear fatigue and they are very comfortable to wear for hours. Great great product and great company.

Insane Good, I am now confident that everything will translate in my bedroom studio, without having to constantly check everything :) Didn't expect to be that good. I am using a modified OLLO X1 Calibration Curve that encompasses my specific headphones and fine tuning and suggestions from Roc. This are F*n Amazing you will not regret it. I have Kali Audio IN-8's calibrated in a modest self treated room and the X1's seem to be the best companion for my Kali IN-8's as there isn't much difference in and out with how things are balanced, which was unexpected. Super comfortable, not keen on the red sheath colour on cables, but hey, the soundstage and listening experience is way above it's pay grade :) Thank you
The Ollo X1 is truly a work of art. Its spacious soundstage and lightweight design expand my mixing possibilities more than I expected. The detail retrieval far surpasses that of other headphones I’ve tried. It’s amazing how comfortable they are—I highly recommend them for overdubbing and calibrating hardware. I love analog gear that’s built with care by hand. You can take these headphones anywhere, which has been a huge plus for me. I’m consistently impressed by what these headphones can do.

I have edited and mixed entire albums just about everywhere—on buses, at airports, and on planes in mid-flight. When you don't have an acoustically treated space, mixes can often be somewhat deceptive; they sound one way inside the studio, but sound completely different once taken outside of it. I have been part of the Ollo Audio community since 2020. Thanks to my S4X headphones—and now my new X1s—I have the confidence to know that when I check my mixes on other devices—such as in cars, on mobile phones, via Bluetooth speakers, on TVs, and so on—they sound excellent.
Excellent! I‘ve been using my S4X for years and I thought It couldn‘t get any better but I was wrong! First the X1 are even more comfortable than the S4X. And when it comes to the sound, they are definitely a step up as well. They do produce a wider stage and the sound is more detailed.
Really cool precise and flat sound. The plugin calibration is also really good (I specially love club preset). The quality of materials is also great. I love those headphones. They improve my mixing and master skills instantly.

I've never had an experience quite like putting these headphones on. For the very first time, I listened to music in headphones that sounded like you were still in the room listening on speakers. (The individual sound profile is an amazing touch.) Finally, mixing or mastering using headphones doesn't feel like an impossible dream.

Mi experiencia con Ollo Audio ha sido excelente. La construcción se siente muy sólida y de alta calidad, y son extremadamente cómodos incluso en sesiones largas de trabajo. En cuanto al sonido, tienen una respuesta en frecuencia muy balanceada y natural, con gran claridad en los medios, graves bien controlados y agudos precisos sin fatiga. Destaco mucho lo fiel que es la reproducción del audio y lo fácil que se vuelve tomar decisiones de mezcla con confianza. En general, son una herramienta profesional que realmente traduce bien a otros sistemas.
These headphones are made for mixing with the flattest response I've heard right out of the box, but if that wasn't enough (in opinion it probably is) they went above and beyond to measure each pair they make and they send you the response curve to upload into your monitoring system to ensure that you get the flattest most accurate headphone experience you've ever had, at least that's what the Ollo X1's are to me. I know I can trust what I'm hearing and my mixes will translate better across all my devices. Thank You Rok and company for making the Ollo X1's

Fantastic earphones, an upgrade from my old Focal set, beautiful clarity across all the frequency ranges. Incredibly comfortable on both axes; as much as I loved my old cans, these are a step up in both sound quality and comfort. As aesthetics, these X1S are very, very pretty. The American black walnut mounts are super figured, and the whole design seems to handle heat buildup brilliantly; there's no need to cool the old ears off. Overall, an excellent purchase, and a company I would keep watching!!
I've been a user of the S5X and was already very happy with them, but I felt there was something missing in the low-end precision. With the new X1, not only did I get that extra definition I was looking for, but also more clarity in the transients, more realism in the spatial image — especially since working on stereo balance with headphones can sometimes be tricky. But with the new X1, everything feels more musical, more precise, and above all, something I value the most: they don’t cause listening fatigue. When I work with them outside the studio, whether it’s for production or mixing, they’re my secret weapon. I can go back to the studio, open the session, and everything I created with the X1 translates perfectly — no surprises, no adjustments needed.
I bought these somewhat blindly after looking at options for better mixing reference headphones than the Sennheiser HD series I had been using. Reviews for the Ollo X1s seemed to be good and Sara Carter's positive endorsement got me to take a chance without being able to test them before buying. Fantastic and full, detailed sound that is neither anemic nor hyped. Slipping on the Ollo X1s to check a mix against my Dynaudio BM6A monitors gives me the same level of detail without any of the room interference. I was initially a little disappointed by the thinness of the metal frame elements, but I think the idea is to provide a better balance between the transducers and the (traditionally) headache-inducing band over the top of your head. The leather strap that kind of floats is a very nice compromise. Shipped quickly and the included case and Y-cable are high-quality. I also started using them for daily recreational listening paired with a Schiit Audio Magni headphone preamp with Mesh DAC (pictured). Great headphones! Wish I would have known about them before I started mixing the most recent record that I finished!
For my work in sound editing for film and music composition, clarity and accuracy are essential. Ollo headphones give me a balanced representation of sound, allowing me to make confident creative and technical decisions. The depth and precision of the spatial imaging is something i still fall in love with again and again. The ollo x1 are the best headphones i’ve ever used!

Really loving the headphones so far. Such a detailed and pure sound reproduction. Still in the process of exploring and learning to hear with them as i am deeply in studio renovations, but soon i will be back with a proper feedback and more material.
Precise and detailed sound with defined frequency extremes. Comfortable, you can keep them on your head for hours. In the high frequency, they are much precise than the s4x

I was delighted with my S4X, the new X1 seems to me the perfect product, an even more neutral but very pleasant sound, better scenery and depth, comfortable and beautiful. The Usc2 software is also a success, I was already a Realphones user so I already knew it would work for me. I love being able to mix in flat mode but I also often use HARMAN mode to know how to turn out my mixing on standard listening devices. For all this I can only recommend them to everyone. Since I use Ollo Audio headphones I feel that my mixes translate much better in any support.

I now have a pair of SX4's plus the newerS1's. Both are being used for precise audio restoration of the human voice in very old, very important, recordings (some over 70 years old) of historic sermons.
I can barely find the words to describe how happy I am with my X1 headphones. Over the last 25 years, like many of us, I've gone through a few different sets, starting with the Sony 7506 back in 1999 because the guy who sold them to me at Guitar Center said they were the "industry standard" - a term I've come to loathe in my more mature years. Sure, I got used to them, but I didn't know anything about producing and much less mixing, so nothing ever translated. Hearing these now makes me wonder how people manage to mix on them, there is almost no low-end and the highs sizzle like pouring water on a hot oiled pan. Pfff...industry standard, sure, maybe for post, but mixing a record? Not for me. Then came Sennheiser HD 280 because I thought, well, these have more bass and of course more bass would mean better mixes, ahem....clueless and green as a leaf of spinach. Then AKG something, can't remember the model ], a DJ friend recommended I jump on them during a sale, and lo and behold, I found them just awful. In the past 12 or so years it's been the ubiquitous ATH M50X, which I somehow grew to like as I got familiar with them, but a few years ago I was wanting something a bit more revealing, something I could really rely on as I began doing a lot more mixing work and travel often. I went with a pair of Beyerdynamic 880 DT-PRO; reviews were great, and new to semi-open back I thought ok, these are surely the ones. Nearly 2 years in and I never quite got on with them, something just didn't sound right and found myself relying more on the M50X, which over time, I'm finding to be a good second set just to cross-reference mixes, after an ear break I may take those to go walk the dog in the park behind the house, and as I'm so familiar with them now, they give me a good sense of what I may have missed. Still, I wanted to find that one set which I can truly rely on purely for mixing and mastering. Enter Ollo Audio. A few ads started appearing on my social feeds. I watched Rok's very informative short clips, longer videos online, Youtube reviews, testimonials from people I admire (good for Adam Moseley = good for me). I've had them about a month now and wow, absolutely brilliant. They are exactly as people describe them. Full-sounding, great separation and clarity, no hyped frequencies, and best of all, there's a slight forwardness in the mids which I absolutely love. Not even sure I'd say they sound forward, it's more that they're not scooped or Sven slightly tucked, they're just "present and detailed". I still have the 880s and of course did some A/B ing a few dats after hearing the X1 and getting slowly acclimated to them. The mids on the Beyers do in fact sound a bit tucked back compared to the X1, they also have a more distant, almost hollow sound overall, for lack of a better description. The 880s weren't bad, to be honest, but the X1 stomp all over them in every way. Thus, they are now looking for a new home on Wallapop :) Oh, and lastly, the X1 are sexy as f.

My experience so far with the X1 has been exceptional, it’s super comfy and it sounds great — I’ve been using it straight out of the box and it’s awesome! I’ve noticed at the beginning that there was some intermittent audio with the right earphone, either the cable or the jack was loose or faulty. Haven’t heard it in a couple weeks but I’ll write you if it starts happening again.
