When I started to make 55, the album that I’m close to releasing, I was living in a caravan in the Outer Hebrides. My drummer and I were taking time out - him from session work and me from endless production of youngsters EPs - and our live room was a stone igloo by the Atlantic Ocean without a single straight line in its construction.
Improvements requested by our community are the ones that always lead our research and development team in their quest to perfect our headphone models. Today we are going to talk about how we approached the improvements of acoustics and sound isolation.
There is much talk about the underrepresentation of women in the area of music production but few have managed to capture the essence of the issue in the raw, yet optimistic video form that is In Ctrl, premiered on the 14th of February.
I can confidently say that these headphones are the best I've used to date. They offer a great amount of comfort and the sound translates to my high-end monitors, car speakers and hifi sets. The price may seem a little steep for headphones when compared to other highly reviewed models at ⅔ of the price.
What is good, and what is bad comfort? Just as we don't have a consensus on what a cool, soft, relaxing, smooth sofa, actually is, we don't have a consensus on what airy light and comfy headphones actually are. Here is how we go about it.
