How to Install the USC II Plugin for OLLO Audio Headphones

This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing the USC 2 plugin to calibrate your OLLO Audio headphones.

Step 1: Register Your Unit


  1. Locate the product registration link in the footer menu or click here: https://olloaudio.com/pages/register
  2. Enter all the required details and submit.
  3. Navigate to the main menu and find the login button to access the backstage login.
  4. If you haven't created an account, click on "Create Account," even if your headphones are already registered.
  5. If you have an account, log in or use the "Forgot Password" feature.
  6. Once logged in, find the backstage link in the top left corner.
  7. Access the USC 2 download section.


 

Step 2: Obtain the Installer


  1. Locate the serial number of your headphones on the registration card or behind the earpads.
  2. Enter the serial number in the requested field and use the same email as your registration.
  3. Ensure there are no typos.
  4. After submission, save the link to your XPS calibration file to your system.
  5. Note the unique redeem code for downloading the USC 2 plugin, powered by Realphones. Copy it to your clipboard.



Step 3: Download the USC 2 Installer


  1. Visit the link provided after submission to access the USC 2 customer area with Realphones: https://uscii.dsoniq.com/redeem.
  2. Fill out the requested fields using the same email.
  3. Check your inbox, promotions tab, or spam folders for the login link sent by the registration system.



Step 4: Install the Plugin


  1. After email verification, log in at https://uscii.dsoniq.com/ using your email and new password.
  2. Download the Windows or Mac installer as needed and follow the installation guide.
  3. Change the output device to USC in case you'll use the system-wide app. If DAW only, you just restart it or in some cases rescan for plugins.
  4. For Mac users, access MIDI Audio settings to match the sample rate in the plugin and OS system in case of a system-wide app.



Step 5: Upload the Calibration File


  1. Choose the headphones profile and click the submenu icon in your USC plugin.
  2. Select "Edit Headphones" to enter the EQ section.
  3. Open the submenu at the bottom and select "Import."
  4. Locate the XPS file and click OK.
  5. You can now use the plugin with or without calibration data.



Step 6: Adjust Frequency Response


  1. If the frequency response doesn't fit your personal HRTFs, open the XPS file with a text editor.
  2. Update the correction values as desired and import the file again.
